Sir: Risperidone is a benzisoxazole derivative antipsychotic agent with serotonin 5-HT2 and dopamine D2 antagonistic properties. During premarketing evaluation of this compound, diminished sexual desire, erectile dysfunction, and orgasmic dysfunction were noted in at least 5% of patients.1 In addition, product information lists dysuria and other urinary difficulties among risperidone’s adverse events.
