Sir: Switching from first-generation antipsychotic medications (FGAs) to second-generation antipsychotic medications (SGAs) is common. This practice also occurs between SGAs, and occasionally from SGAs to FGAs. Many controlled studies have examined the switch from FGAs to SGAs, but little research has been conducted to examine the process and outcomes of switching in naturalistic conditions.​
