Sir: Oxcarbazepine is an anticonvulsant with similar chemicalstructure to carbamazepine.1 Oxcarbazepine is not only effectivein epileptic therapy, but also useful in the treatmentof refractory bipolar and schizoaffective disorders.1-5 Comparedto carbamazepine, rare hematologic suppression side-effect hadbeen reported with oxcarbazepine treatment.6-8‘ ‹
