Letter to the Editor

Sir: A wide range of medications has been reported to induce
manic episodes. These include stimulant drugs, such as
dextroamphetamine. A drug recently approved for treatment of
obesity, dexfenfluramine, is not reported to have adverse effects
of mania, hypomania, psychosis, or other similar behavioral effects.
