Drug Interactions in the Treatment of Depression in Patients With Ischemic Heart Disease

In this installment of our monthly column, Dr Andrade discusses possible treatment interactions in patients who have both depression and heart disease. He touches on the positive aspects of using SSRI treatment in these patients, but he also points to possible adverse events, such as an increased bleeding risk in patients who are on anti-platelet therapy.
