Sir: It was with mixed emotions that I read Dr. Jefferson’s recent letter1 regarding the spelling of “bupopion.” On the one hand, it was a relief to know that I am not the only physician who can’t spell very well but have been too ashamed to admit it. On the other hand, it’s frightening to think that there are many physicians out there who can’t spell very well and have been too ashamed to admit it.
