Article Abstract

Letter to the Editor

Sir: We appreciate the comments and questions raised by Drs. Baker, Sernyak, and Woods. We agree that it is far from clear as to whether lithium can be administered more quickly than the standard titration techniques common in clinical practice. In addition to the small body of literature regarding rapid dosing of lithium that they reviewed, another report of "rapid lithiumization" has recently come to our attention.
