Sir:We thank Kirov et al. for their response to our article “A 3-Month, Follow-Up, Randomized, Placebo-Controlled Study of Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation in Depression.” We fully agree that conducting further research would make sense only if higher stimulation parameters than those in our study are used. Their data support this view. On the basis of our findings, however, we would also strongly advocate including a poststimulation follow-up period of at least 3 months.​
