Reprints and Permissions

The publisher Physicians Postgraduate Press, Inc. (PPP), owns the copyrights for material published in its publications: The Journal of Clinical Psychiatry, The Primary Care Companion for CNS Disorders, CME Institute,, and their associated websites. The information as it is presented in all forms is the property of PPP unless specifically stated otherwise.

  • Permission will not be granted until the article has been published in the journal or on one of PPP’s websites.
  • Permission is not granted to re-use the full text of journal articles, unless the article copyright states it is owned by the author(s) (open access).
  • Free-access articles:
    • The publisher still holds copyright.
    • PDFs may not be posted anywhere.
    • Reprints for commercial use must be purchased from PPP.
    • Permission to use graphics in the article must be requested of and granted by PPP.

All reprints of articles appearing in publications produced by PPP (eg, The Journal of Clinical PsychiatryThe Primary Care Companion for CNS Disorders, and their Supplements, etc) must be ordered directly through PPP. Reprints that have saddle stitching (3 staples down the spine) may include a cover, code, and a disclaimer. Please complete and submit the Reprint Request Form.

Single article reprints for articles that require a subscription may be purchased electronically through the website. If several reprints are needed, consider whether purchasing an online subscription would be more cost effective.


PPP offers an electronic reprint (e-print) service that allows online access to an article for a predetermined number of views. This e-print service will permit you to distribute the article via a URL address/password or link, allowing individuals of your choosing to download a PDF at no charge to them. One printed copy is allowed per view. Please complete and submit the Reprint Request Form.


PPP offers authors high-quality photocopies of their articles for personal use that are printed front and back and stapled in the upper left corner. Please complete and submit the Author Photocopies Request Form.
