Sir: Negative symptoms like blunted affect, lack of spontaneity, and emotional and social withdrawal are disabling conditions for many schizophrenic patients. Pharmacologic strategies alone are frequently insufficient in the treatment of negative symptoms. New treatment approaches are therefore required.’ ‹
