Sir: We appreciate Dr. DeQuardo’s thoughtful comments on our letter. As he suggests, our patients’ responses may have been due primarily to the effects of either individual neuroleptic, rather than an actual combined effect. Clozapine alone certainly can produce significant improvement of refractory psychosis.’ ‹
