Article Abstract

Because this piece does not have an abstract, we have provided for your benefit the first 3 sentences of the full text.

This first edition of this unique textbook is somewhat of apsychiatrically oriented combination of the Medical LetterHandbook of Adverse Drug Interactions and Goodman andGilman’s Pharmacological Basis of Therapeutics. The purposeis to facilitate the early detection and prompt treatment of neuropsychiatrictoxicity resulting from medication use. While the authorsstate the book is “merely an introduction to the subject,”they have presented a comprehensive guide to the various psychiatricand neurologic side effects that can result from the useof practically any medication. They have achieved this in ahighly readable and well-organized fashion.
