Anton J. L. M. van Balkom, MD, has published extensively on obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, panic disorder, and movement disorders. His work includes studies on the clinical course of tic-related obsessive-compulsive disorder, treatment approaches such as cognitive therapy and pharmacotherapy for OCD and panic disorder, and the comorbidity of anxiety and depressive disorders. He has also investigated the role of craving in benzodiazepine relapse and the use of quetiapine in Tourette's disorder. His research has appeared in Psychiatrist.com from 1999 to 2016.
