Bernhard T. Baune, MD, PhD, is affiliated with the Discipline of Psychiatry at Adelaide Medical School, University of Adelaide, Australia; the Department of Psychiatry at University of Münster, Germany; and both the Department of Psychiatry and The Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health at The University of Melbourne, Australia. His publications from 2015 to 2023 focus on major depressive disorder (MDD), specifically investigating cognitive dysfunction and psychosocial impairment, the effects of pharmacologic treatments such as celecoxib and vortioxetine, and clinical risk factors for weight gain during depression treatment. He has frequently collaborated with co-authors including Célia Fourrier, Emma Sampson, Hikaru Hori, Natalie T. Mills, and Catherine Harmer.
