Elena de la Serna, PhD, is affiliated with the Centro de Investigación biomédica en Red de Salud Mental (CIBERSAM) and the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychology Department at Hospital Sant Joan de Déu in Barcelona, Spain. Since 2012, de la Serna has published extensively on child and adolescent psychiatry, focusing on schizophrenia, schizoaffective and other psychotic disorders, as well as suicide risk. Her research includes studies on functional impairment in youth at psychosis risk, predictors of onset age in first-episode psychosis, and longitudinal outcomes in early-onset psychotic disorders.
