Elena de la Serna, PhD, is affiliated with the Centro de Investigación biomédica en Red de Salud Mental (CIBERSAM) and the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychology Department at Hospital Sant Joan de Déu in Barcelona, Spain. Since 2012, de la Serna has published extensively on child and adolescent psychiatry, focusing on schizophrenia, schizoaffective and other psychotic disorders, as well as suicide risk.
