Robert L. Stout, PhD, has published extensively on the longitudinal interactions between personality disorders, mood disorders, and anxiety disorders, with a focus on borderline personality disorder and major depressive disorder. His work also addresses the natural course and clinical outcomes of obsessive-compulsive disorder, eating disorders including bulimia nervosa, and symptom patterns in bipolar youth. Stout’s research spans child and adolescent psychiatry and covers predictors of remission and relapse over multi-year prospective studies. He has frequently collaborated with Andrew E.
