At 8 weeks, participants assigned to heated yoga had significantly lower clinician-rated depression scores on the IDS-CR than participants assigned to waitlist control, with a large between-group effect size (Cohen d = 1.04, P < .001). In the repeated-measures model, depressive symptoms declined over time overall (b = −2.61, P < .001) and improved faster in the yoga group than in the waitlist group (time × arm effect: b = −3.09, P < .001).
