PK is a 12-year-old girl whose grades have taken a nosedive since her parentsseparated 6 months ago. I sent her and her mother to a counselor for cognitivetherapy and have had reports of significant improvement. To the contrary,Mom tells me today that PK continues to distance herself from her friendsand has been continuously tearful and sad.
