Ann M. Callahan, MD, has published extensively on addiction, bipolar disorder, and major depressive disorder. Her work includes studies on the overdiagnosis of bipolar disorder among substance use disorder inpatients with mood instability, clinical practice guidelines for bipolar disorder from the Department of Veterans Affairs, and discussions on antiepileptic drug augmentation for treatment-resistant depression.
