Javier de Diego-Adeliño, MD, PhD, is affiliated with the Department of Psychiatry at Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau and the Institut d’Investigació Biomèdica Sant Pau (IIB SANT PAU), as well as the Department of Psychiatry and Legal Medicine at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). His publications span from 2010 to 2023 and focus on major depressive disorder (MDD), including treatment-resistant depression and the effects of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. He has contributed research on deep brain stimulation and pharmacological strategies to enhance antidepressant response. Frequent collaborators include Dolors Puigdemont, Enric Alvarez, María J. Portella, Víctor Pérez, and Ana Martín-Blanco.
