Miguel Bernardo, MD, PhD, has published research on the treatment of major depressive disorder and schizophrenia/schizoaffective disorders. His work includes studies on the efficacy of antidepressants as adjuncts to atypical antipsychotics for negative symptoms of schizophrenia and investigations of cerebral perfusion following antidepressant treatment versus electroconvulsive therapy in elderly patients with major depression.
