Adverse Effects of Atypical Antipsychotics.

Article Abstract

Atypical antipsychotics have the potential to cause weight gain and derangement of glucosemetabolism. These side effects can lead to obesity, diabetes mellitus, and dyslipidemiaand should be considered in the management of the behavioral and psychological symptomsof dementia.
