About
Heikki J. Rytsälä, MD, PhD, has published extensively on major depressive disorder (MDD) and suicide, with a focus on comorbid personality disorders, psychiatric comorbidity, and long-term outcomes in psychiatric patients. His work includes studies on the stability of comorbid symptoms, episode duration, recurrence, and suicidal ideation and attempts among individuals with MDD. Rytsälä’s research also addresses challenges in continuity of care and differences in comorbidity between mood disorders.
