About
Hiroshi Ito, MD, PhD, has published research focused on neuroimaging studies related to dopamine D2 receptor dynamics in psychiatric conditions. The work includes investigations of receptor binding changes associated with electroconvulsive therapy in major depressive disorder and assessments of dopamine D2 receptor occupancy related to antipsychotic-induced hyperprolactinemia in schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorders. These studies utilized positron emission tomography techniques to explore neurochemical mechanisms underlying treatment effects.
