Article Abstract

Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors are associated with a variety of side effects, many of whichare resolved during the first couple of weeks of treatment. Side effects that emerge or persist after 1month of treatment include sexual dysfunction and weight gain. Although these adverse events areserious, they can be managed successfully if recognized early.
