Article Abstract

Because this piece does not have an abstract, we have provided for your benefit the first 3 sentences of the full text.

To the Editor: Lithium has been known to interfere with thyroid function by causing hypothyroidism and, less frequently, hyperthyroidism. This is the second documented case to our knowledge of thyroid storm occurring following hemodialysis indicated for lithium toxicity.
