Palliative care is an approach to medical care that can improve the quality of life of patients and their families facing the problems associated with life-threatening illnesses. Our team members get involved in interactions with seriously medically ill men and women at the end of life. In South Carolina, some patients live hours away from the hospital, so we speak with them by telephone.
